Your Role
QuberTech seeks an experienced Project Manager to manage a diverse portfolio of grant-funded and internal projects. The position is crucial for advancing commercial goals, supporting grant and fundraising activities, and providing agile management for R&D operations to ensure milestones are met on time and budget. This cross-functional leader will be a key partner to senior management and will facilitate collaboration across teams within a dynamic startup.
Job Location: Norwich Research Park
Contract: Full time, 36 months fixed term

What you’ll do
-
Lead the management of grant-funded project portfolios, including managing external project consortia, tracking milestones, expenditures, and reporting to funders and stakeholders.

Manage the internal plant production pipeline by balancing internal resource with available horticultural space.

Work closely with CEO, CBO, and Head of R&D to align project plans with company priorities and strategic goals.

Support fundraising activities, including coordinating grant applications, preparing supporting documentation, and communicating with potential funders and partners

Implement agile project management practices within R&D teams to drive efficient planning, progress tracking, and stakeholder communication.

Facilitate regular progress updates for executive team and ensure rapid resolution of issues or risks affecting project timelines or budgets.

Foster a culture of accountability, process improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration.
What you'll bring
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in science, engineering, business, or related field (PMP or Prince2 desirable).

3-5 years’ experience in biotech, pharma, or scientific project management roles, preferably with grant and fundraising exposure.

Demonstrated expertise in portfolio management, budgeting, and agile methodologies.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong organizational and leadership abilities; able to work across teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup.

Proven problem-solving skills and ability to drive teams towards delivery of outcomes.

We are expanding our innovative R&D team and seeking a versatile Research Technician to provide critical support across our core science functions.
As a Research Technician, you will work closely with our Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, and Extraction & Analytical Scientists. Your role will be essential in helping these teams run complex experiments, maintain containment growth facilities, prepare biological and chemical samples, and support extraction and analysis
workflows.
If you have a BSc or MSc in a relevant scientific field and have demonstrated laboratory experience, this entrylevelrole isthe perfect opportunity to launch or continue your biotech careerin a dynamic startup environment that values learning, teamwork, and innovation.

Contract: Full time, with an initial contract for 12 months

Assist with plant tissue culture, phenotyping, and containment facility operations (including hydroponicsand aeroponics systems)

Support our cloning, plant genetic modification, and other molecular biology workflows

Work with sample processing, preparation of reagents, and routine laboratory analyses of rubber and inulin

Maintain laboratory equipment, prepare media and reagents, and uphold safety and quality standards

Collect, record, and organize experimental data meticulously

Facilitate communication and coordination between scientific teams to ensure smooth research operations
What you’ll bring

BSc/MSc in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline

Practical lab experience gained through internships, academic projects, or previous roles

Basic knowledge of plant science techniques, molecular biology, and biochemical assays is highly desirable

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow protocols
